Indore
In Madhya Pradesh, Indore is the largest city situated south of the Satpura range on the Malwa Plateau. This city provides good living conditions and commercial applications to all the people here and hence is called the cosmopolitan capital of Madhya Pradesh. It is from the temples of Indrapur and Indreshwar that Indore gets its name and in the year 1715 it was founded by the local landlords.
Of the former state of Madhya Bharat, the city served as the summer capital. It is sometimes referred to as ‘Textile City’. Today Indore is a centre of garment industries. For the residents of Indore with so many malls coming up it is becoming a metropolitan. Along with the retail stores and glittering showrooms, the traditional retail stores still dominate the market place of this city.
