Indian Hotels kicks off Ginger hotel property in Puducherry Myirirs.com 10 December 2007
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has launched its tenth Ginger hotel property in Puducherry, and the fourth in south India, reports Business Standard. The 98-room hotel will be part of IHCL`s Ginger hotel chain, which currently operates in Bangalore, Haridwar, Bhubaneswar, Mysore, Thiruvananthapuram, Durgapur, Nashik, Agartala and Pune. The Puducherry hotel will also have the bookstore chain, Landmark. Besides, IHCL has tied up with The Harbour Market, owned by actor Mohanlal`s Taste Buds Restaurant, to launch a multi-cuisine restaurant specialising in coastal flavours at the hotel premises. Ginger hotels had tied up with Café Coffee Day earlier this year. Café Coffee Day outlets are present in six Ginger hotels and will also have a presence at Ginger Puducherry. Shares of IHCL closed up Rs 1.3, or 0.91%, at Rs 143.9. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 408,063. (Friday)
