In the light of COVID-19, the experience of staying at a hotel is going to change as safety and hygiene have become the main concern. And to cater to this dynamic situation, Ginger is taking every possible step to protect the health and safety of guests and associates by leveraging advanced technology to facilitate a contactless experience. 

Our first promise is to ensure that there is as minimal contact possible right from the moment the guests walk through the doors of Ginger hotels. All our staff will be wearing proper protective gear including masks and gloves to assist the guests upon their arrival.                                           
 Frequent sanitisation of all the spaces are already being carried out and before the guests' arrival as well, we will be following the safety and hygiene protocols set out as per the CDC, WHO and local health authorities to ensure safety. Throughout every stage including the arrival, security check, check-in and check-out, our team will be dedicated to abiding by all the safety protocols. Our systems and processes along with the use of technology have prepared us to provide easy contactless check-ins, contactless check-outs, digital menus, contactless dining and contactless payments as well.

Here are some steps that the Ginger team will be taking in the different stages right from the arrival of the guests until their departure to have a contactless experience.

Pre-Arrival: 
As soon as you book your hotel with us, we will be sending you the check-in link that will help you to have a contactless check-in which is your digital confirmation. We will be making the necessary arrangements in advance for the overall safety and to ensure that social distancing practices are followed. Our team present at the hotel will ensure that you are well-assisted throughout the process.

Arrival: 
Upon your arrival at Ginger hotels, our dedicated team shall take care to provide you with utmost safety while ensuring the experience is hassle-free. You can begin by using the digital confirmation to perform express check-in. 
A temperature check will be done during the security check at the porch itself for each of our guests. Security check will be done only through the Door Frame Metal detector (DFMD). Security associates will not use handheld metal detectors.   
While handling your luggage and bags, our team shall ensure that they wear proper protective gear such as masks and gloves. In case, you prefer to carry your luggage yourself, you can choose to do that.

Check-In and Check-Out: 
We have well-prepared our reception areas and set protocols in place so that social distancing is maintained. To avoid confusion, we will be making use of queue-managers and ground tape to create a line of safety. 

All the team members will be wearing masks and gloves while attending to the guests. For convenience, we have set a separate desk for check-out. 

In-Room Dining & Takeaway Meal Packages:
We are more than happy to serve food in the room and would encourage you to use our contactless food ordering option. Guests can place orders for in-room dining by placing a call or opt for online food ordering through the digital menu available on our app. Our servers will ensure serving the food with minimum interaction to avoid contact and the bills will be directly sent to the rooms.
                                                         
Departure: 
After you have had a pleasant and safe stay with us, we will carry out the necessary procedure on the day you depart from our premises.

Upon confirmation of the departure, an invoice is shared on mail to the guest, prior to check-out to ensure in-room verification. In case the guests wish to verify charges, tabs will be available at the reception to help you with the same.
